This South African wine is grown and made on the Alto wine estate in Stellenbosch. The Alto estate, for generations known as the red wine farm in the Boland, nestles along the northen slopes of the Helderberg Mountain near Stellenbosch. Only red grape varieties grow at the Alto and although the production increases annually, it has never yet satisfied the demand.

This wine has aromas of juicy blackberries and a hint of mint, the Alto Cabernet Saugvigon is a classic. The sweet cherries on the palette are balanced by the smooth oaky tannis that suggest an excellent ageing potential.

Robust red meats will be perfect partners to this limited release wine. This Cabernet contains 14% alchohol and is a wonderful wine for special occasions.
